Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – University of Montevallo men's tennis picked up its first win of the season in a 6-3 victory over King University, earning the victory in its first match since being reinstated as a sport on campus.

Georg Trompler sealed the victory for the Falcons with his 6-4, 6-7 (10-7) tie-break win over Lenny Keswani of King in the No. 1 singles' match. Trompler and freshman
Brecht Van Buggenhout helped Montevallo gain momentum early in the contest with a 8-7 (8-6) tie-break victory over the Tornadoes' Keswani and Arturo Alfaro in the No. 2 doubles' match, which gave Montevallo a 2-1 lead following doubles' action.

Petter Dahlin topped Alejandro Feliciano of King 6-3, 3-6 (10-6) in the No. 2 singles' match. Freshman
Sergi Martinez fell to the Tornadoes' Lennard Neumann 6-0, 4-6, 10-6 in the No. 3 singles' match.

Jan Fraederich fell to Alfaro 6-1, 2-6, 6-10 in the No. 4 singles' match. Freshman
James Bloomer topped the Tornadoes' Jorge Rojas 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 5 singles' match.

Daniel Del Val topped Charles Jabaley of King 6-4, 6-7 (10-5) in the No. 6 singles' match.
Del Val and Martinez fell to Feliciano and Neumann 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles' match. Dahlin and Bloomer teamed up to defeat the Tornadoes' Noah Baker and Jabaley 8-2 in the No. 3 doubles' match.
The Falcons have completed the fall portion of their schedule. Montevallo will return to action Friday, Feb. 2 in the spring opener against Tuskegee University at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Alabama.
