MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
Game 1
- Jonah Garrison roped a single into left field that brought Collin Dupree in to score and tie the game at 1-1 in the top of the second inning.
- A pair of sacrifice flies helped the Falcons tie the game at 3-3. Garrison hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to score Collin Dupree. The other sacrifice fly came in the sixth inning when Blake Devine flew out to centerfield to score John Michael Reed.
- The Falcons used a big seventh inning to score the go-ahead run and seal the 7-5 victory. Sebastian Samuels, Collin Dupree, and John Michael Reed all scored for the Falcons in the seventh inning to help seal the victory.
- Kale Lattore was credited with the win and is now 1-0 on the season. Drew Mullinax earned the save.
Game 2
- Montevallo scored their only run of the game in the first inning off a passed ball that allowed Jason Cryar to come home that gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- Montevallo surrendered five runs in the fifth inning and helped give Spring Hill an 8-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- Montevallo played from behind most of the game but fought back each time the Badgers tried to pull away. In the top of the second inning, Montevallo tied the game on a Jonah Garrison single into left field that brought Collin Dupree around to score.
- After giving up a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning, the Falcons got a run back in the top of the fourth inning when Garrison flew out to left field which allowed Colin Dupree to reach home safely for the second time in the game.
- The Falcons tied the game in the top of the sixth inning at 3-3. Blake Devine was credited with a sacrifice fly when he flew out to centerfield to score John Michael Reed.
- After surrendering a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Falcons plated four runs in the top of the seventh inning to score the go-ahead run.
Game 2
- Montevallo scored their only run of the game in the top of the first inning when a passed ball allowed Jason Cryar to score, making it a 1-0.
- Spring Hill scored a run in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Badgers scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning and then plated five more in the bottom of the fifth inning to seal the 8-1 victory.

Montevallo will play a three-game series this weekend against Bellarmine at home with the first game scheduled for Friday, February 16th. The first pitch of game one in the series will be at 2:00 p.m.
