Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. - The University of Montevallo men's tennis team swept Morehouse College 9-0 on the road Feb. 18 in the final match before returning to Gulf South Conference play this week.

The Falcons (5-0) will host the University of West Florida, the top-ranked team in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II national rankings, in their conference home opener Feb. 19.

"We are excited to play West Florida tomorrow," said Montevallo men's tennis coach Adam Albertsen. "They are the defending National Champions and No. 1 ranked team in the country. It will be a great test for our team."

Freshman Georg Trompler defeated Justin Samples of Morehouse 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles' match. Freshman Petter Dahlin topped the Tigers' Rasheed Slade 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles' match.

Freshman Daniel Del Val took down Maurice Pugh of Morehouse 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles' match. Freshman Sergi Martinez defeated the Tigers' Vernard Littles 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles' match.

Freshman Tanguy David topped Zakai Meghoo-Peddie of Morehouse 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 5 singles' match. Freshman Chandler Hagan swept the Tigers' Ziha Meghoo-Peddie 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 6 singles' match.

Del Val and Martinez defeated Samples and Slade 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles' match. Freshman James Bloomer and Dahlin swept Pugh and Littles 8-0 in the No. 2 doubles' match.

Freshmen Brecht Van Buggenhout and Milan Ludlage swept Zakai and Ziha Meghoo-Peddie 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles' match.
