- Chrit Rudkin (5-2) started the game and was credited with his fifth win of the season. Rudkin threw seven innings and allowed just two earned runs and had eight strikeouts.
- The Falcons used three pitchers in relief. Grayson Wakefield, Colton Nussel, Lucas Ellenberg each threw 2/3 of an inning and combined to strike out three batters.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caleb Ledbetter hit a three-run home run in the opening frame of the game to put Montevallo on top 3-0.
- Montevallo took a 4-0 lead in the second inning off a Collin Dupree single into left field that brought Khari Anderson around for the score.
- The Falcons put three more runs on the board in the fourth inning to take a 7-0 lead.Â
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Shorter scored a pair of runs to make it a 7-2 ball game.
- Montevallo sealed the 10-2 victory in the seventh inning with another three runs. Collin Dupree and Jason Cryar both singled in the inning for the Falcons.
