INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Montevallo men's lacrosse team is picked to finish sixth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason coaches poll.

The Falcons garnered 15 total points in the poll.

Indianapolis University was picked as the preseason favorite after receiving 35 total points and five first-place votes.

Rockhurts University was picked to finish second in conference standings with 30 total points and two first-place votes. Young Harris College was picked to finish third in the poll with 27 total points.

Montevallo was picked to finish ahead of Shorter University in the conference standings.

The Falcons open their 2019 season on Friday Feb. 1 when they host Westminster College at 7 p.m.
