UM Women's Soccer Falcons
Romee Contreras,
Melanie Stevens,
Michaila Franklin and
Hannah Waki earned spots on the 2019 All-Gulf South Conference Team. Contreras and Stevens earned First Team All-GSC and Franklin and Waki earned Second Team All-GSC. The 2019 Falcons quartet are the first all-conference selections since 2014, when Montevallo competed in the Peach Belt Conference.
Contreras, a sophomore forward from Rancho Cucamonga, California, finished second in the GSC in assists (10), ninth in goals (8) and ninth in points (26).
Stevens, a sophomore defender from Clarksville, Tennessee, is a lock-down defender that provides a spark for the Falcons high powered offense.
Franklin, a senior midfielder from Los Angeles, California, is a Falcons captain and four-year starter.
Waki, a junior defender from Los Alamitos, California, is a Falcons captain, the anchor of the Falcons back-line and team leader in minutes played.
The Falcons earned their first NCAA Regional bid since 2007 and will take on Nova Southeastern in the South region quarterfinal game at 1pm on Friday in Clinton, Mississippi.
