University of Montevallo junior Georg Trompler is ranked 40^th in singles in the latest ITA Division II National Rankings. The Bavaria, Germany native has now appeared in the last seven ITA national singles rankings, dating back to April 3, 2019. Trompler was ranked as high as 10^th during the week of May 1^st and finished the 2018-2019 season as an All-American.

Six other Gulf South Conference players appeared in this week's top 50 national singles rankings. Trompler appeared in the first set of ITA Division II South Region singles rankings last week at the #14 spot. Both the regional and national rankings were topped by Barry University's Alejandro Ibanez Gallego.

 "Georg has been one of the most mentally tough competitors and best team leaders I've had the pleasure to coach," added Head Coach Tanner Stancil. "I'm glad that he continues to receive recognition for all of his hard work."

After posting a strong fall singles record of 4-1, Trompler will be back in action on February 7, 2020 when the Falcons take on Christian Brothers in Memphis, TN, in their first dual-match of the spring season.
