Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. - For the fourth time this season, Shyan Flack and Paige Ward finished in double-figures in the same game as the duo led the University of Montevallo to an 80-60 win over Stillman College Wednesday night.
Shyan Flack, a sophomore from Somerville, Ala., finished with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting to lead both teams. Paige Ward added 15 points, with 13 coming during the 30-point second quarter, too. In total, 13 of the 16 Falcons which saw game action scored at least one point en route to the victory.
The win marks the sixth time in six games Montevallo has won at home and extends the Falcons' current winning streak to three games heading into their next contest on Saturday.

Flack record her third double-double on the young season as the sophomore from Somerville, Ala., finished the game with 19 points and 12 rebounds in a team-high 28 minutes of game action. She had a 17-point, 10-rebound performance against Clark Atlanta on Nov. 8, then a 14-point, 10-rebound game versus Delta State on Nov. 23.

Ward's 15 points matched her season high, which came in Montevallo's 84-62 win against Mississippi College on Nov. 25.

Montevallo's biggest lead came with 41 seconds remaining in the second quarter as the Falcons lead by 22 points after going on a 13-0 scoring run earlier in the quarter. In total, Montevallo led for 39 minutes, 29 seconds of the possible 40 minutes.

How It Happened
1st Quarter

Montevallo's 27 points scored during the game's first quarter were the most points scored by the Falcons during the first quarter of a game this season since scoring 25 against Mississippi College on Nov. 25.

Montevallo opened the game with a 6-0 scoring run that eventually ballooned into a 15-4 Falcon advantage at the 6:21 mark of the quarter. The Falcon lead again reached 11 at 24-13 four minutes later.
2nd Quarter

After Montevallo took a 27-21 lead into the second quarter, the Tigers cut their deficit to 29-25 less than a minute into the next 10-minute segment. But the Falcons responded with a 13-0 scoring run to extend their lead to make it 42-25 and force a Tiger timeout midway through the quarter.

Montevallo's 30 points scored during the second quarter marked the second time the Falcons have reached the 30-point mark in a quarter this season after having 31 points during the third quarter against Saint Leo on Nov. 13.
3rd Quarter

Stillman crawled back from its 57-37 halftime deficit by holding Montevallo without a point on 10 field goal attempts through the quarter's first five minutes. The Falcons' lone point during the stretch came on a free throw. By the 4:54 mark of the third quarter, the Tigers had cut their 20-point deficit to 10.

Montevallo combined five free throws with three made field goal attempts to extend its lead back to 14 by the end of the quarter.
4th Quarter

Montevallo flipped the script on Stillman during the fourth quarter as the Falcons held the Tigers to only 18.2 shooting percentage. Stillman scored on only two field goal attempts during the gaame's final 10-minute frame.

Montevallo, on the other hand, was able to empty the bench and allow freshman Sara Strohmeyer to sink her first career 3-point basket.
