MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's tennis team defeated Georgia Southwestern State University 7-0 in a non-conference match in Montgomery, Alabama.

Sophomore Georg Trompler defeated the Hurricanes' Alex Canovas Ferrando 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles' match. Sophomore Petter Dahlin took down Nacho Garcia de Sola of Georgia Southwestern 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles' match.

Sophomore Tanguy David defeated Georgia Southwestern's Kenneth Limyadi 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match. 

Sophomore Daniel Del Val topped the Hurricanes' Beau Millwood 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 4 singles' match. Sophomore Gavin Salton defeated Kyle Eason of Georgia Southwestern 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles' match.

Freshman Dylan Valentine took down the Hurricanes' Matthew Limyadi 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 singles' match. 

Dahlin and fellow sophomore James Bloomer topped Canovas Ferrando and K. Limyadi 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles' match. Sophomore Milan Ludlage and sophomore Brecht Van Buggenhout defeated Garcia de Sola and Millwood 7-6 in the No. 2 doubles' match, while Del Val and Salton defeated Eason and M. Limyadi 6-0 in the No. 3 doubles match. 

The Falcons will travel to Columbus, Ga. Feb. 23 to take on Columbus State University at 1 p.m.
