Box Score COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men's tennis team fell to nationally-ranked Columbus State University 6-1 in a non-conference match Feb. 23.
Sophomore
Georg Trompler recorded the lone win for the Falcons with his 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 win over Zach Whaanga of Columbus State in the No. 2 singles' match. Whaanga entered the match ranked No. 27 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II singles' rankings for the Cougars, who are ranked No. 2 nationally in team rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore
Petter Dahlin fell to KP Pannu of Columbus State 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles' match. Sophomore
Tanguy David fell to the Cougars' Arnold Kokulewski 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles' match.

Daniel Del Val fell to Alvaro Regalado of Columbus State 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles' match. Sophomore
Gavin Salton fell to the Cougars' Tommaso Schold 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles' match, while freshman
Tobias Rauch fell to Matei Avram of Columbus State 6-3, 7-5 in the
No. 6 singles' match.
Trompler and David defeated Kokulewski and Schold 6-2 in the No. 3 doubles' match.

James Bloomer and Dahlin fell to Whaanga and Regalado 6-2 in the No. 1 doubles' match. Sophomores

The Falcons will return to action in a neutral court match Friday, March 1 against Spring Hill at the AUM Tennis Complex in Montgomery.
