VALDOSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men's golf team finished with strong rounds in the final two rounds in a stacked Southeastern Collegiate event hosted by Valdosta State University.
The Falcons finished 18th in team standings in the event with a three-round total of 902 with rounds of 310-295-297 in the 54-hole event, which featured several nationally-ranked teams in the latest Golfstat NCAA Division II rankings.
"This was one of those weeks where we just couldn't finish our rounds," said Montevallo men's golf coach
Justin Pratt. "We were under par as a team in both the final two rounds through 13 holes. We just couldn't climb out of the hole we dug for ourselves."
Junior
Paul Murphy posted the lowest score for the Falcons with a three-round total of 6-over par 222, which placed him in a tie for 42nd overall in individual standings.
Sophomore
Brady Carman carded a three-round total of 8-over par 224, which placed him in a tie for 50th overall in individual standings.
