Box Score ROME, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men's tennis team swept host Shorter University 7-0 in a Gulf South Conference match March 16.
The Falcons improved to 4-2 overall this season and 2-1 in Gulf South Conference play with the win.

Georg Trompler defeated Malik Yawar of Shorter 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles' match. Sophomore
Petter Dahlin topped the Hawks' Gregoire Vincent 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 2 singles' match.

Tanguy David edged Kirandevaa Namadevan of Shorter 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles' match. Sophomore Daniel
Del Val took down the Hawks' Benjamin Ginter 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 4 singles' match.

Gavin Salton defeated Anthony Lekoko of Shorter 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 singles' match. Freshman
Dylan Valentine topped the Hawks' Blakely Bottegal 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 6 singles' match.
The Falcons swept all three doubles' matches against the Hawks to secure the doubles' point.

James Bloomer and Dahlin edged Yawar and Vincent 7-6 after winning the tiebreaker in the No. 1 doubles' match, while David and Trompler swept Namadevan and Lekoko 6-0 in the No. 2 doubles' match.

Brecht Van Buggenhout defeated Bottegal and Ginter 6-1 in the No. 3 doubles' match.
The Falcons will return to action Sunday, March 17 with a match on the road at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
