MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's tennis team earned its highest national ranking ever with a No. 35 ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II rankings.

The Falcons, who were ranked No. 44 briefly a year ago in the program's first season in more than three decades, moved into the top 50 after receiving votes in last week's rankings.

Montevallo is one of four Gulf South Conference teams ranked in the national rankings.

The University of West Florida is ranked No. 8 in the latest rankings, followed by the University of West Alabama at No. 15 in the national rankings.

Valdosta State University is ranked four spots behind the Falcons at No. 39 in the national rankings.

Montevallo will return to action Thursday, April 4 with a Gulf South Conference match on the road at UAH.
