NEWS AND NOTES
- The Falcons opened conference play with a 2-1 win over Valdosta State on Friday.
- Montevallo enters its second conference game of the season on the road against West Georgia, 3-1-2 overall on the season and 1-0 in GSC play. The only blemish on the schedule for the Falcons this year is a 3-1 loss to Louisiana Tech University.
- Montevallo enters the match on a three-game win streak fowling a 3-0 win over Tampa, a 2-1 win against Florida Tech, and a 2-1 win over VSU.
- West Georgia enters 3-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play on the season. The Wolves are on a one game win streak, following a 5-1 win over Auburn-Montgomery.
- The Wolves are 1-1-1 at home this season. The Falcons are 1-0 on the road.Â
TEAM LEADERS
MONTEVALLO
- Annie Mason leads the Falcons defensively this season with 26 saves and only three goals allowed. Mason is second in the GSC in goals against average (.55), the leader in save percentage (.897) and is tied for the lead in the GSC in shut outs (2). Mason has twice been named the GSC Defender of the Week this season.
- The Falcons offensive attack is led by Allye Darnell and Kaeri Ward who have each scored two goals this season. A group of five players have all scored one goal each this season. Senior Tylor Ring, junior Kira Bochard , and sophomores, Medhali Hernandez, Romee Contreras, and Melanie Stevenshave all found the back-of-the-net once this season.
- Senior Michaila Franklin and junior Hannah Waki lead the Falcons in assists this season with two.
- Ward leads the Falcons in shots-on-goal with 10 so far. Sophomore Medhali Hernandez has put up a team-leading 23 shots this season.
- Stevens, along with juniors Hannah Waki and Christiane Malone make up a back line that has played over 1,600 minutes this season. Waki leads the way with 560 minutes so far. The Falcons defense, along with the keeper Mason, has only allowed three goals to NCAA Division II opponents this season.

- The Wolves are led by Janaisia Smith, Karley Baker, and Sadie Prince who have scored two goals this season.Â
- On the defensive end, Jackie Donaldson leads the Wolves in goal with 34 saves and seven goals allowed.
