CALERA, Ala. - The University of Montevallo men's golf team concluded the first round of the Full Moon Invitational, Sunday at Timberline Golf Club. The Falcon's are sitting at the top of the leader board after carding a team score of (-2) 282 for the first round.
1. Paul Murphy is leading the field in the first round after carding a score of (-4) 67, ultimately bolstering the Falcons to first place.
T2. Brock McNeely finished the first round going one under Par 71 in the first 18 holes of the Full Moon Invitational
T5. Landon Wockenfuss is tied for fifth place after posting a score of 71 in the first round.
T5. Noah Dennis broke even on the day, carding a score of 71 after the first 18.
T13. Brady Carman carded a first round score of (+2) 73, making a six way tie for 13th that includes
Cooper Markham and
Harrison Hughston.
Other Falcons to card scores on the first day were
T23. Brett Batchelor (+4, 75),
T23. Gregory Jones (+4, 75),
T38. Cody Smith (+10, 81), T40.
Drew Howard (+16, 87), and
T40. Logan McCracken (+16, 87).
NEXT UP: Montevallo will resume the Full Moon Invitational Monday starting at 8:00AM. This will be the last tournament during the fall season for the Falcons.
