CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. – Montevallo men's golf finished 11
th at the Citrus Intercollegiate with a three-round score of 31-over.
The Falcons opened the tournament with a round-one 12-over (300) to sit in seventh after the first 18 holes of competition. The Falcons then slipped down to ninth place after the second round of action with a round-two 11-over (299) before finishing the week in 11
th place after posting a round three eight-over (296) to close the tournament.
Dodd Ferrelle tallied Montevallo's top finish on the week with a total score of two-over (218) with a first-round score of 74 (+2) with an even-par back nine before finishing the first day of golf with a pair of birdies in a one-inder 71 for round two. The sophomore finished the week with a round-three 73 for his 16
th-place finish.
Brant Carman finished second on the team with a total score of eight-over after opening the week with a two-over 74 followed by a three-over 75 in round two. The freshman then closed the tournament with a round-three 75.
Miles Jackson finished third on the team in 45
th with a total score of 10-over for the week with a round-one 75 (+3) before adding a round-two 76 (+4) and finishing the week with a final round 75.
Miles Miller rounds out Montevallo's scores for the week with a 47
th-place finish and a score of 11-over. In round one, the sophomore carded a a five-over 77 before scoring another 77 in round two and finishing the week with a one-over 73.
