FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Montevallo swimming team ended the final day of competition at the Emmanuel College Mid-Season Invitational in second place.
Host team Emmanuel finished first in the field, followed by Brenau University who finished third, with Piedmont coming in fourth, and Point University finishing in fifth.
MEET NOTES
Hailey Vance was the top finisher for Montevallo in the 200 yard freestyle. The Ukiah, California native claimed second place in the event after clocking a time of 2:02.40. Vance was also the top finisher for the Falcons in the 100 yard backstroke finishing in third with a time of 1:03.54.
Lizbeth Candanedo clocked the best time for the Falcons in the 200 yard butterfly (2:19.64) making a third place finish in the event.
Amanda Ware led the way for the Falcons in the 100 yard breastroke after turning in a time of 1:10.45, to claim third place.

Amanda Ware, and Lexi Cardwell led the 400 yard medley relay on day two, coming in second with a time of 4:25.50.
The Falcons finished third in the 400 yard freestyle relay with

Hailey Vance,
Madison Burnum, and Lexi Cardwell combining for a time of 3:53.30.
Mary Lane led the Falcons in the 400 yard IM, notching a time of 5:03.22 to claim third place in the event.
NEXT UP: The Falcons will compete in the DePauw and Wabash Virtual Invite starting on Tuesday and will complete the remaining rounds of the CSCAA Virtual Cup following those events.
