TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Â
MONTEVALLO
- Montevallo is one of only three GSC teams with at least 10 conference wins so far this season. Lee and Union both have 12 — Lee has the edge in the standings due to having one less loss — with Montevallo being third with 10 in 12 conference games this season.
- Following the loss to Lee back in January, Montevallo responded with a five-point win at AUM, then a 10-point victory against West Alabama. The Falcons dropped a non-conference game at Clark Atlanta but is still currently riding a four-game conference winning streak.
- Marisa Snodgrass is one of two players in the GSC with a 2.0-or-better Assist/Turnover Ratio. Union's Jada Smith has dished out 112 assists to 39 turnovers — 2.9 ratio — while Snodgrass has been credited with 87 assists to 40 turnovers — a 2.2 ratio.
Â
LEE
- There's no team in the league better, defensively, than Lee. Through 21 games, the Flames have allowed 1,153 total points, which is a 54.9 points per game average. Montevallo was the last team to score 63-or-more points against Lee.
- Abby Bertram (13.7) and Haley Schubert (12.5) are the only players to average double-digit points for the Lee through this point of the season. However, Lindsey Roddy (9.6) is knocking on the door to join the duo.
- Lee has lost only one official game this season — a 74-68 contest to Valdosta State on Dec. 17, 2019. The Flames also dropped a 71-55 contest to UT Chattanooga, but the game was considered an exhibition. Since dropping to the Blazers, the Flames have reeled off nine straight wins.
