The Falcons outscored the Lions 6-3 in the second quarter to take a 11-6 lead going into halftime.
Montevallo had multiple players contribute on the offensive side of the field on Saturday. Junior attackman
Dante Cloutier tallied 2 goals and 2 assists in the win. Freshman attackman
Scott Friant chipped in with 2 goals and 1 assist. Sophomore Andru ross had 4 ground balls while contributing 1 goal and 1 assist. Sophomore
Jackson Neufeld scored 1 goal and recorded 2 helpers. Sophomore midfielder
Connor Frederick scored 2 goals and added an assist. Junior attackman
Ryan Shea dished out 2 assists on the afternoon. Sophomore long stick midfielder
Anthony Pecoraro added 1 goal and 1 assist.
Junior
Kyle Little earned the win in the goal while recording a game high 9 ground balls. The Falcons defense was disruptive forcing the Lions into 37 turnovers including 23 in the second half.
Head Coach
Jason Lange had this to say after the win today. "I was proud of how our guys responded after a subpar performance last week. We executed much better on the offensive side of the field and played more disciplined on the defensive side of the field. I thought our guys did a very good job dealing with tough weather conditions."
