MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Montevallo men's tennis team are set to begin the Gulf South Conference Tournament with a match against the No.2 seed West Florida.
The Falcons enter the tournament as the No.7 seed with a 4-11 regular season record and a 3-5 conference record. UM went 35-53 during the regular season in singles play with a 14-31 record in doubles matches.
Montevallo will depend on Phillippe Zehender and
Milan Ludlage in doubles matches as they lead the team with five wins on the season with a 5-8 record.
James Bloomer and
Brecht Van Buggenhout are set to round out the Falcons at the No, 2 doubles spot as they have recorded the second most wins on the team (3-7).
Gavin Salton leads the Falcons with seven singles wins this season (7-4) with a 5-4 conference record.
The Falcons are set for a match against UWF in Montgomery, Alabama starting at 2:30 on Thursday, April 22.
