CALREA, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's golf team finished in first place at the Full Moon Invitational with a 10-over 578 total, Tuesday.
Montevallo entered the final round with an 11-shot lead after shooting a three-over 287 Monday, and posted a 10-over 291 Tuesday, to finish 24 shots ahead of Converse.
Caterina Oliveri led the Falcons, and the field, with a one-under 141 in the two-day event. She shot a two-under 69 on Monday and a one-over 72, Tuesday. Oliveri recorded the only score in the 60's on the week.
Paulina Bermejo turned in rounds of 72 on each of the days for a two-over 144 total, good enough to tie for third.
Madison Rincon shot 73 and 72 to finish in fifth place while Denise Paulson scored 73 and 75 for sixth to round out a group of four Falcons in the top-six.
The Falcons led the field in both the first and second rounds, winning by a margin of 24 strokes.
