GREENWOOD, S.C. – Montevallo women's golf took home a fourth-place finish at the Lady Bearcat Invitational for the Falcons' top finish since Sept. 9.
The Falcons opened the tournament in sixth place after shooting a 20-over 308 in the first 18 holes before firing the third best round of round two with a team score of 299 (+11) before finishing the week with a final round 305 (+17) for its fourth-place finish.
Ainoa Ruiz won the individual side of the tournament with a total score of one-over (217) for her first-career individual title. The Freshman posted a one-under 71 in round one with a trio of birdies before adding another three birdies in a one-over 73 in round two. Ruiz finished the week with a total of four birdies for a one-over 73 in the final round.
Polly McCrackin added an 11
th-place finish with a total score of 12-over after carding a seven-over 79 in round one. The freshman added a pair of birdies for a 75 (+3) in the second round before finishing the week with a two-over 74 in round three.
Angelina Oliveri finished 20
th at the Lady Bearcat Invitational with a total score of 17-over. The sophomore posted a round-one score of 77 (+5) before carding a round two 76 (+4) and finishing the week with a round-three 80 (+8). Francesca De Roover placed 25
th in the event with a total score of 19-over while
Juliette Daviau rounded out Montevallo's scores with a 26-over total score and a 35
th-place finish.
