BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Montevallo men's basketball's Tyler Moore has been named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced Tuesday, for the fourth time this season.

In a pair of games this week, Moore averaged 10 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

The Hendersonville, Tenn. native scored 18 points against No. 22 Lee while grabbing nine boards and dishing out a team-high five assists. Early in the week he added six rebounds and four assists at Alabama-Huntsville.

Currently Moore is averaging 6.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while averaging 2.7 assists as the starting point guard.

Montevallo will take a trip to the Magnolia State this week with matchups against Delta State, Thursday Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m. and Mississippi College on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m.
