Moore Earns NABC Div. II All-America Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches has released its 2025-26 NABC Division II All-America Team with Derek Moore named All-American as the Falcons' first All-American selection since 2017.

Moore joins a class of 16 Div. II student-athletes to earn the national honor and is the lone Gulf South Conference selection to the NABC All-America team.
 
The Birmingham, Ala. native's season has been riddled with awards after earning the GSC Player of the Year, a First Team All-GSC selection and a D2 CCA First Team All-Region nod while adding a GSC All-Academic team selection. The senior forward has tallied an average of 18.0 points per game to rank fourth in the GSC while shooting a league-high 61.8-percent from the floor. Moore added an average of 6.7 rebounds per game to rank seventh among conference leaders while also recording 2.4 assists in his 29 appearances. The Birmingham, Ala. native set the Montevallo single-game record with a 51-point performance against West Florida on Jan. 17 while tying the Falcons' top mark with 20 made free throws in the same outing.
 
Moore is now the 21st Falcons to earn an All-American honor and just the 13th in Montevallo's Div. II era.
