MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's swimming teams notched their first victories of the season against Millsaps on Saturday, Oct. 14, inside the SAC Natatorium.
The men defeated Millsaps 183-55 and the women 179-64.
In the win, Montevallo set three pool records and finished first in 26 events.
Juan Celis took first place and set a pool record in the 100 Y Free with a time of 46.84.
Petra Cajkas broke the pool record in the 100 Y Back with a time of 59.01.
Connor Daigle had the third record breaking time for the Falcons with a 1:58.14 mark in the 200 Y IM.
The Falcons are 4-0 against the Millsaps Majors all-time.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- The first win of the afternoon came in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of Petra Cajkas, Hanna Persson, Keara McGee and Danielle Davis turn in a time of 1:53.63.
- The men would win the 200-yard medley relay after with a time of 1:35.79 with the tandem of Will Mahone, Connor Daigle, Janek Barczyk and Juan Celis.
- In the eighth event of the day, Will Mahone, Kevin Watkins and Reese Cobb took the top-three spots in the 50-yard backstroke.
- Connor Daigle, Mason Wood and Harrison Dorsey took the top-three spots on the podium in the 50-yard breaststroke.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, Danielle Davis, Cypris Wilkinson and Madison Burnum took top-threes with times of 57.87, 58.54 and 1:00.28.
