After freshman Christian Kahaller scored on a wild pitch, Eiseman added his second RBI of the inning to push UM to a 10-1 advantage. A sacrifice fly from Teel gave him his fourth RBI of the inning and scored Matt Simon to make it an 11-1 lead for the Falcons. Montevallo scored 10 runs on eight hits in the fourth.

Samuels capped off his start in the fifth inning and he mowed down two more KSU batters, giving him 10 strikeouts on the day.

In the bottom of the sixth Jake O'Connell tripled to left field, scored Wyatt Cunningham, and came home on an error by the left fielder. Brandon Moore stepped in next and drilled a homer to center field to give UM a 14-1 lead.

Trey Mooney closed out the game-one win on the mound with a swinging strikeout.
