MOBILE, Ala. – Montevallo women's golf finished second at the Gulf South Conference Championships, Tuesday, in Mobile, Alabama.
Paulina Bermejo posted a podium finish in the tournament as she placed tied-second at one-over, to lead the way for UM. Bermejo entered the final round in third and shot an even-par 72 in round three to move up one spot.
The next highest finisher for the Falcons was
Madison Rincon at seven-over. She carded a one-over 73 and moved up one spot, Tuesday, to place tenth.
Meredith Bennett jumped up two spots on the final day as she shot a three-over 75 to finish at 11-over and tied-12
th.
Caterina Oliveri rounded out the group of scoring Falcons as she placed 15
th. She shot three-over Tuesday, to finish at 13-over for the three-round event.
Montevallo entered the day in second place, one shot of the lead, but finished four shots back of the tournament champion with a seven-over.
