GAME NOTES
- Allie Dishman led Montevallo with 11 kills while adding four digs and two total blocks.
- Kalin Duncan was all over the court recording 13 assists, 11 digs, three service aces, and one kill.
- Colton Thompson had her third straight match this weekend with 25 or more assists and she has had double-digit assists in all 10 matches this season.
- Augusta out-blocked the Falcons 14-6 in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Augusta started the match out with a 3-1 lead over Montevallo but kills from Danielle Greene and Allie Dishman got the Falcons within one.
- The Jaguars went on a five-point swing with two errors from the Falcons and three kills.
- UM responded with four straight points including a kill from Ellise Hanson and an ace from Grace Petro.
- An evenly played set saw Augusta taking a 15-14 advantage but the Falcons hung in with timely errors from the Jags to make it 17-16 in favor of Augusta.
- AU created distance with miscues from UM and went on to take the set 25-20.
- Both teams had six errors while Augusta had more kills than the Falcons (13-10).
Set 2
- The Jaguars took a 2-0 lead but three straight attack errors gave the Falcons the early 3-2 advantage.
- Kills by Allie Dishman and Macy Martin with an ace from Kalin Duncan made it 7-4 in favor of UM.
- After a kill from Brooklyn Hudson, Augusta tied it up with three straight points of their own.
- Tied at 14 all, Montevallo went on a hot streak with kills from Ellise Hanson, Macy Martin and Brooklyn Hudson with two aces from Kalin Duncan who totaled three service aces in the set.
- At 24-16, AU tried to make a comeback with five straight points but the lead was too much for the Jaguars as Montevallo closed out the set with blocks from Hudson and Hanson.
Set 3
- Both teams traded points in a highly competitive set until Augusta had three straight kills to make it 12-8.
- Set 3 was the lowest number of errors in any set in the match with four.
- Montevallo hit at a .308 clip while the Jaguars hit at an incredible .471.
- Both teams had 16 kills in the set.
- A four-point swing by Augusta made it 22-15 in favor of the Jags.
- After kills from Dishman and Frenette, AU was able to put away the Falcons with a kill from Jordan Jerome.
Set 4
- Augusta dominated the set by out hitting the Falcons .185 to -.031.
- At the end of the set, the Jaguars took seven straight points to put the match out of reach at 23-10.
- Two attack errors by Augusta made it 23-12 but the lead was too far away as AU put it away with a kill and a block to down the Falcons.

The Falcons will now turn their attention to Gulf South Conference play where they open up on the road at Lee University on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The match is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Cleveland, Tn.
