DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Montevallo women's golf finished 11
th with a three-round score of 48-over at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia.
The Falcons began the tournament with a hot start after posting a one-over 289 as a team in the first round. Montevallo slipped on the second round of day one with a 21-over 309. In the final round, the Falcons added a 26-over 314 to slide into 11
th for the tournament.
Meredith Bennett got out to a hot start with a four-under 68 in round one that featured six birdies from the senior. Bennett struggled to score in the second round with a birdie-free round two and a final score of seven-over (79) to end day one. Bennett shot the same seven-over in the final round but added a pair of birdies as she finished 49
th for the tournament.
Caterina Oliveri also added a 49
th-place finish with a final score of 10-over for the three-round event. She opened the tournament at three-over (75) with a trio of birdies on the front nine. Oliveri added an under-par second round with four birdies and three bogeys to finish one-under in the second round. The senior struggled in the final round with an eight-over 80 to end the tournament.
Paulina Bermejo also started the tournament well with an even-par opening round that saw a trio of bridies. Round two saw Bermejo slide to nine-over for the round as she slipped 12 places on the leaderboard. Her final round saw a slight improvement with an eight-over 80 to finish the tournament in 68
th.
