MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's swimming team etched 10 different times into the program record book on Monday, Nov. 11 in the SAC Natatorium.
The Falcons were defeated by West Florida in the meet 91-165.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- In the 200-medley relay, Hanna Persson, Petra Cajkas, Alexandria Morgan and Keara McGee swam a time of 1:49.97 which is the fifth fastest in UM history.
- UM would swim the sixth fastest time in program history in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:41.16. This was swam by Tabitha Nalepa, Petra Cajkas, Alexandria Morgan and Keara McGee.
- Persson would have a great day swimming the breast stroke as she notched times of 1:07.80 in the 100 and 2:26.65 in the 200. Those times would be the eighth and 10th fastest times in each event in UM's record book.
- McGee would put two times in Um's top-10 lists as she swam a 53.66 in the 100 free and 56.97 in the 100 fly. Her time in the freestyle would be the eighth fastest and McGee's 56.97 in the 100 fly would be the second fastest in UM history.
- Cajkas would dominate the backstroke as she swam a 58.03 in the 100 and a 2:08.50 in the 200. Both times are top-five in each event.
- Emily Sauer would put another time in the UM record book as she swam a 11:07.58 in the 1000 free. That mark is the eighth fastest.
- Alexandria Morgan would tally Montevallo's 10 different time into the record book as she swam a 5:13.29 in the 500 free. The time would be the third fastest in the program's history.
UP NEXT
The Falcons will next compete in the Delta State Invite which will take place on Dec. 14 through Dec. 17. Delta State will host the meet inside the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center.
