BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has released its first set of weekly awards with Montevallo's Camden Andrews earning GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
The Memphis, Tenn. native averaged 14.5 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting with a 62.5 percent mark from three-point range to go along with 2 assists per game, 1.5 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game in the Falcons opening weekend of action.
 
In Montevallo's season opener, Andrews scored four points on 1-of-3 from long range with one assist and two steals in 19 minutes of action during the Falcons win over Barry. In a loss to Nova Southeastern, the freshman scored 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting with a 4-for-5 mark from deep and a 7-for-8 clip from the charity stripe. Andrews also tallied two rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 38 minutes on the floor.
 
Andrews and the rest of the Falcons hit the court on Friday, Nov. 15 in Mobile, Ala. to take on Spring Hill at 7 p.m.
