CLEVELAND, Ms. – The University of Montevallo men's and women's swimming team's complete day one of the Delta State Christmas Meet on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The Falcons competed in six events in the opening day of the meet.
Alexandria Morgan shatters the program record time in the 1000 free as she swam a time of 10:41.16. UM would go on to add eight more top-10 times into the Montevallo program record book.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- In the first event of the meet for the Falcons, freshman Alexandria Morgan set a program record time in the 1000 free with a time of 10:41.16.
- Ethan Brewer would swim the seventh fastest time in UM history in the 1000 free with a time of 9:52.01. Ben Johnson would follow up with the 10th fastest program time in the event at 9:58.63.
- The team of Alexander Kim, Enrique Llorens, Ethan Brewer and Jimmy Franck would swim the third fastest time in swim's history in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:56.55.
- Petra Cajkas, Alexandria Morgan, Cypris Wilkinson and Maja Krawczyk put together the fourth fastest 800 free relay in Montevallo history at 7:54.68. Also in the 800 free relay, Stella Newton, Gillian Chorrushi, Hanna Persson and Liz Davis came in with the eighth fastest time in UM history at 8:12.35.
- In the women's 200-medley relay, Hanna Persson, Petra Cajkas, Alexandria Morgan and Keara McGee swam the second fastest time in program history at 1:47.36. The team of Maja Krawczyk, Tabitha Nalepa, Beth Balent and Cypris Wilkinson swam the eighth fastest in UM history at 1:50.38.
- On the men's side in the 200-medley relay Aleksei Kolesnikov, Jake Swan, Alexander Kim and Jimmy Franck came in with a time of 1:32.90, the sixth quickest in UM history.
