BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Aubrey Sorrells continues to gain recognition in her first collegiate season, being named GSC Freshman of the Week for the third consecutive week, conference officials announced Monday.

The freshman had a solid week, averaging 11 points, six rebounds, 2.5 blocks, one assist, and one steal.

The Hamilton, Ala. native opened the week, recording 11 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in the Falcons 82-79 win over Christian Brothers on Thursday.

Sorrells followed that up with another solid performance, scoring in double figures again and tying her season-high in blocks against No. 17 Union. The freshman recorded 11 points, five rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal against the Lady Bulldogs.

Montevallo returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 4 for a road matchup against Auburn Montgomery.
