MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's lacrosse is set to host Tusculum on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 12 p.m. off the heals of the first ranked win in team history.
So Far This Season…
The No. 20 ranked Falcons hold a 1-1 record on the season for the first program ranking in team history. The Falcons hosted No. 9/13 UIndy for the season opener that saw the Falcons fall, 13-6, on Feb. 4. Montevallo then travelled south to No. 7/15 Florida Southern on Feb. 10 and took down the Mocs, 19-18, in just the third overtime victory in program history.
Through two games, the Falcons are led by
Matthew Boas on the attacking end with nine goals and one assist for a total of ten points. Second on the team is
Jackson Klewchuk with five goals including his second-career overtime goal in the win over Florida Southern.
Trevayne Hunter leads the Falcons in the assist column with five. In the net,
Alex Egorshin has notched 38 saves with a pair of 19-save outings in the first two games of the season.

With just one game gone in the season, Tusculum holds an 0-1 record with a 14-13 loss to Young Harris on Feb. 10. The Pioneers will face off with Alabama Huntsville on Friday, Feb. 16 before heading south to take on the Falcons.
The Pioneers are led by Chase Penner who scored seven goals in the season opener while Ben Royer leads the squad with five early assists. In the first game of the season, Brenden Pecora recorded 15 saves for a 51.7 save percentage.

Montevallo and Tusculum will face off for the first time in the short history of Montevallo men's lacrosse on Sunday.
