BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Montevallo men's golf's Harrison Hughston has been named the Gulf South Conference Co-Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office, Thursday.
 
A native of Anniston, Alabama, Hughston finished tied-17th at the Saint Leo Invitational at three-under, to lead Montevallo to a tied-ninth finish in a field of 20 teams.
 
Hughston shot 68, 74 and 71 during the three-round event at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Saint Leo, Florida to place tied-17^th in a field of 108 competitors.
 
This is the graduate student's first Golfer of the Week award this season.
 
Hughston shares the weekly honor with Valdosta State's Adam Waller who also finished tied-17^th.
 
Hughston and the Falcons will return to action Mar. 4, at the Derrall Foreman Invitational in Cleveland, Mississippi.
