Falcons Fall to West Alabama on the Road

Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Montevallo men's tennis fell to West Alabama, 7-0, in a road Gulf South Conference match on Wednesday afternoon. 
 
The Falcons lost the doubles point despite Philippe Zehender and Simon Luigs taking the No. 3 match 7-6. With a tightly-contested 7-6 loss from Garbiel Variano and Sam Parsons along with a loss in the top match from Samuel Maia and Leonidas Lazarides, the Tigers took the doubles point. 
 
Vitorio Noli was the lone Falcon to take a set in the singles matches but the junior fell 6-4, 7-6, 10-7 in the No. 3 singles match. Lazarides battled in the top singles match but took a 6-4, 6-4 loss. Losses from Zehender and Maia in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches followed by a pair of losses from Luigs and Nakajima gave the Falcons the fourth conference loss of the season. 
 
The Falcons will return to action on Sunday, April 7 with a trip to Cleveland, Tenn. to take on Lee.
