MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo Head Women's Basketball Coach Olivia Chapman has announced the signing of Aubrey Sorrells, a two-time All-State selection in the state of Alabama, to the 2024 signing class.

Sorrells, a four-year letter at Hamilton High School, comes to Montevallo, Ala. as a two-time first team All-Area selection in 2023 and 2024. The Falcons' newest addition helped to lead her high school squad to five-consecutive Marion County Championships while also leading the team to four-straight Area Championships.
 
During her final season at Hamilton High School, Sorrells led the team to a 25-6 record while averaging 20.6 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds per contest. Her performance in her senior season earned the newest Falcon a second team All-State honor as well as a first team All-Area selection. The Hamilton, Ala. native was also named Marion County Most Valuable Player in each of the last two seasons.
 
In her four seasons in high school, Sorrells helped to post a 95-24 overall record with her junior season having the best record at 27-6.
 
The guard plans to major in Sociology with a concentration in criminology.
 
Sorrells is the first signee of Chapman's 2024 signing class.
