Montevallo Ties, 1-1, on the Road at Trevecca Nazarene

Box Score NASHVILLE. Tenn. – Montevallo women's soccer ends its four-game road trip with a 1-1 draw on the road at Trevecca Nazarene.

Montevallo looked to score early with a shot on frame from Batie Casey in the opening minute, but the Trojan keeper turned the freshman aside. In the ninth minute, junior Lainey Farabaugh fired a shot on goal that was stopped by the keeper but the Altoona, Pa. native found the back of the net on a second chance to give UM a 1-0 lead. Just four minutes later, Isabel Dillehay fired back-to-back shots on goal, but each was turned away. In the 22nd minute, Siera Nickelberry added another on frame just before Ayla Ertekin added her second shot on goal of the night. The Falcons' defense would hold strong for the entire first half with just two shots from TNU in the opening 45 minutes as UM took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Early in the second, Farabaugh continued her onslaught with her fourth shot on goal of the night but was denied a second goal. The game evolved to a battle of possession for the next 15 minutes with both sides allowing just one shot until Bear Bradbury made the TNU keeper work in the 65th minute with her first shot on goal of the night. The Trojans would knot the score at 1-1 in the 82nd minute before forcing a pair of saves from UM keeper Frida Larsson. Firebaugh saw Montevallo's final scoring chance of the night in the 90th minute but couldn't find the mark ending the Falcons' four-game road trip with a 1-1 tie at Trevecca Nazarene.
