MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Athletics has named Wrestling's
Cole Hunt and Women's Swim's
Keara McGee as the Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jack's for the week of Nov. 3.
Cole Hunt (Wrestling)
Sophomore
Cole Hunt opened the 2025-2026 wrestling season with a dominant performance, capturing the 125-pound title at the Pepsi Patriot Open to lead the Falcons to a second-place team finish. Hunt went a perfect 5-0 on the day, defeating two nationally ranked opponents in NAIA.
The Sugar Hill, Georgia native capped his impressive run with a 17-4 major decision over No. 25 Jordan Rodriguez (Cleary University) in the finals after posting key wins over No. 3 Matteo Vargo (Cumberlands) in the quarterfinals and strong victories against wrestlers from Cornerstone, Southeastern, and Truett-McConnell. Hunt's effort set the tone for Montevallo's strong team showing, which featured nine total placers and three individual titles.
Keara McGee (Women's Swim)
Senior
Keara McGee delivered another standout performance for the Falcons in a tri-meet against No. 7 West Florida and UTRGV in Pensacola, Fla. McGee captured two individual event titles, winning the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.68, which marks the fourth fastest mark in program history and the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.95, ranking 10
th all-time at Montevallo.
McGee also anchored a strong showing for the Falcons' relay team, contributing to a third-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay with a time of 3:43.76, the 10
th fastest in school history. McGee's consistent excellence and leadership continue to pace Montevallo's progress as the Falcons build toward championship season.
