BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its fifth set of weekly awards on Tuesday morning, as UM's Emily Mouser was named GSC Freshman of the Week for the first time in her career.

The Huntsville, Ala., native had a solid week to open conference play, averaging 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steals against Lee and Trevecca. Mouser was efficient on the week, most notably shooting 62.5-percent from three-point range, 45.5-percent from the field, and 100-percent from the free throw line.

Mouser opened the week with a season-high five assists, ten points, six rebounds, and two steals against Lee on Thursday. She closed the week with season-highs in points (17) and rebounds (eight), while dishing out a pair of assists against Trevecca on Saturday.

On the season, the freshman leads the team in three-point percentage (.526), free throw percentage (1.000), assists (18), and steals (seven), while sharing a team leading-11.3 points per game with Elyse Hughes.

Mouser and the Falcons return to action this week with home contests against Delta State (Dec. 11) and Mississippi College (Dec. 13).
