Keara McGee women's swimming have been named the Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of February 24th.
Aleksei Kolesnikov (Men's Swimming)
This week Aleksei Kolenikov was named Conference Carolina's Swimmer of the year, after his impressive performance at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championship, held at the Triangle Aquatic Center Feb 19

nd (Cary, NC.)
Kolenikov was the high point scorer for the meet, obtaining three individual first place wins in the 50-yard free (20.03), 100-yard free (44.16), and 100-yard Butterfly (46.44). Achieving personal bests in all three events, obtaining all three school records and swimming Division II B-cuts for the three as well.
Additionally, Kolenikov also contributed to four relays, three winning second place. He lead off the 200-yard free relay going a time of 19.99 seconds, the first ever men's swimmer to break the 20 second barrier, lead off the 800-yard free relay going a personal best time of 1:41.69, as well as swam the fly leg of the 400-yard Medley relay, and finally anchored the 400-yard free relay that won first place with a time of 3:02.34, just beating Converse University by .04 seconds. This marked the first relay in program history to win at a Conference Championship.
Walter Womack (Men's Track & Field)
This week
Walter Womack earned the Gulf South Conference Most Outstanding Track Performer, because of his performance at GSC Indoor Track and Field Championship which took place at the Birmingham Metro CrossPlex on Feb 20

Womack was the team high point scorer for the meet, winning first place in the 60-meter sprint going a time of 6.88 seconds and second in the 200-meter sprint with a time of 21.73 seconds. Womack was also a key contributor in the 4x400-meter relay, running the third leg that set a new school record with a time of 3:17.34, earning a third-place finish.
Keara McGee (Women's Swimming)
Keara McGee had an outstanding performance at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championship this week which took place at the Triangle Aquatic Center Feb 19

nd (Cary, NC.)
McGee was the team high point scorer breaking school records in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard Butterfly, obtaining second place at the meet in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:06.61, fourth place in the 200-yard Butterfly (2:05.31), and first place in the 100-yard Butterfly with a time of 54.77 seconds. McGee's times in the 100-yard Butterfly and 100-yard Freestyle obtained her Division II B-cuts.
Additionally, McGee also contributed to four relays, three winning third place and one winning fourth. She swam the fly leg of the 200-yard Medley relay (24.87), as well as the fly leg of the 400-yard Medley relay (55.09), and lead off the 200-yard Free relay going a personal best with a time of 24.35 seconds. McGee also led off the 400-yard Free relay going a time of 51.94 seconds, going another personal best that secured her a Division II B-cut.
