MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's lacrosse is set to host its second of three-straight home games on Sunday, March 16 at 1 p.m. when the Falcons take on William Jewell.
So Far This Season…
Montevallo boasts a 6-2 overall record through the first half of the season. Montevallo opened 2025 with a 24-15 win over Emmanuel on Feb. 1. The Falcons went out on the road for a 13-5 win over Mars Hill on Feb. 5 before topping Emory & Henry, 27-4, on Feb. 7. Montevallo suffered its first loss of the season on Feb. 13 in a 14-13 defeat against Saint Leo. Montevallo rebounded with a 19-13 win over Thomas More before falling to Belmont Abbey, 7-6, in overtime on the road. Montevallo then tallied its second ranked win in program history with a 13-12 road win over No. 9 UIndy. Most recently, Montevallo topped North Greenville, 12-7, on March 8.
Montevallo ranks second in the Peach Belt Conference with an average of 15.88 goals per game on a league-high 46.63 shots per game and 30.75 shots on goal per contest. The Falcons also add an average of 11.13 assists per game for a 27.00 points per game average. Montevallo leads the PBC with an average of 46.50 ground balls per game while posting a conference-high .675 faceoff win percentage. Defensively, Montevallo allows 9.97 goals per game with a .605 save percentage while forcing 11.63 caused turnovers per game.
Matthew Boas leads Montevallo's attack with 21 goals while adding 12 assists for a team-high 33 points.

William Jewell enters the weekend with a 2-5 overall record after opening the season with a 9-6 loss at Lincoln Memorial on Feb. 7. The Cardinals then picked up the first win of the season over Chowan on Feb. 9 before adding a second-consecutive victory with a 13-7 home win over Malone on Feb. 14. Jewell hosted No. 15 Colorado Mesa on Feb. 23 for a 12-3 loss before falling to Northwood, 11-5, on Feb. 25. The Cardinals dropped a March 8 matchup with Quincy, 9-6, before falling to Rockhurst, 15-7, on the road on March 12.
The Cardinals average 7.57 goals per game on 19.00 shots on goal per with a total of 35.14 shots per game. Jewell adds an average of 3.14 assists per game for a 10.71 points per game average. The Cardinals have posted a .401 faceoff win percentage while picking up 34.86 ground balls per game. Defensively, Jewell allows 10.17 goals per game with a .567 save percentage while forcing an average of 9.86 caused turnovers per game.
Carson Wright highlights Jewell's attack with a team-high nine goals while adding a trio of assists for 12 points to lead the team. Declan Fines ranks second on the team with seven goals and four assists for 11 points while Brennar Mitts leads the team with five assists. Cody Kaiser has posted a .444 faceoff win percentage with a team-leading 21 ground balls. In the net, Fynn Ziebarth has tallied a .558 save percenate with a total of 82 saves and allows 10.07 goals per game.
