MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo wrestling's Colt Brown and Jake Chisolm are set to begin their journeys at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships on Friday, Mar. 14 through Saturday, Mar. 15. The championships will take place inside the Corteva Colliseum in Indianapolis, IN.
 
After an inaugural season where the Falcons had one qualify for the National Championships, they now bring two in their second season in the program's short history. Jake Chisolm and Colt Brown both come in ranked 15^th by theopenmat.com and will be the first 165 and 125 in UM history to compete at nationals.
 
Colt Brown qualified for nationals as he placed second at the NCAA Super Region II tournament. Brown was the top seed in the 125-weight class and went 2-1 including defeating now ranked No. 17 Corey Gallivan. He comes into the tournament with an 18-6 record on the season and has been fantastic this season in close bouts as he is 11-1 in decisions. His first-round matchup will be against No. 8 Dayson Torgerson of Colorado Mesa who has a 20-6 record.
 
Jake Chisolm placed in third at regionals after fighting his way through the consolation bracket as he picked up four wins. Chisolm has an even 20 wins and in 7-0 in tech falls coming into the tournament. His first matchup of the tournament will come against No. 5 Dajun Johnson of Wisconsin-Parkside who is 29-6 on the season.
 
Both wrestlers for the Falcons are no stranger to the big stage as they both advanced to day two of the Midwest Classic.
