AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has named Montevallo goalkeeper Alex Egorshin its Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
The Hoover, Ala. native played all 60 minutes in net of Montevallo's 22-11 win over William Jewell on Sunday afternoon. Egorshin tallied a .633 save percentage on the day with a total of 19 saves on 37 shots faced while allowing just 11 goals and picking up a pair of ground balls. The junior's 19-save performance is the sixth game this season that Egorshin has recorded double-digit saves with the keeper extending his streak of 10-or-more saves to four games.
 
Egorshin and the Falcons return to action on Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m. when Montevallo hosts No. 9 Maryville.
