TUNICA, Miss. – Montevallo women's golf remained in fourth place after a 34-over second round at the 2025 Gulf South Conference Championship with
Fabiola DeCespedes leading the charge.
Montevallo shot the fourth-best round of the day for the second-consecutive round with a 34-over round two that saw eight birdies and an eagle from the Falcons. Montevallo's fourth-place ranking is just eight shots out of second and just six shots behind third.
For the second day in a row,
Fabiola DeCespedes shot the low round of the day for Montevallo with a five-over 77 that left the junior just six strokes off the lead in sole possession of third. Freshman
Angelina Oliveri fired a seven-over 79 for Montevallo's second-best round of the day and a T-15
th placement heading into the final round.
Meredith Bennett sits just a stroke behind Oliveri in T-18
th after shooting 84 in round two.

- No. 24 West Florida leads the tournament at 45-over with Union (+49) in second and No. 11 Lee (+51) in third.
