TUNICA, Miss. – Montevallo men's golf finished fourth at the 2025 Gulf South Conference Championship behind a top-five finish from senior Eric Boutwell.
Montevallo shot 303 (+15) in the final round to finish in fourth place behind tournament champion West Florida, Lee and Delta State. The Falcons finished the tournament just six shots out of the top three with a total score of 42-over (906) with round of 293 (+5), 310 (+22), and 303 (+15).
Eric Boutwell was the lone play in the top five not on the championship squad as the senior finished fifth with a total score of 217 (+1) with a final round 73 (+1). Boutwell's final round saw four birdies and a one-under 35 in final nine holes of the tournament. Lucas Albert tallied the second-highest finish for Montevallo with a 24
th-place mark of 15-over (231) after a 75 (+3) in round three for his lowest round of the tournament. Senior Valentino Fantozzi finished just one stroke behind Albert at T-25
th with a score of 232 (+16) for the week with a final round 81 (+9).

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Seth Rogers added a T-29th finish for the week with score of 235 (+19) after shooting 78 (+6) in round three.
- Bentley Van Pelt rounded out Montevallo scores for the day with a five-over 77 that saw a trio of birdies.
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- No. 2 West Florida won the tournament with a score of six-under while No. 7 Lee finished second at 24-over and Delta State took third at 36-over.
- Montevallo's final round saw 16 birdies from the Falcons as UM finished with a total of 38 birdies across all three rounds.
