Falcons Lead After Day One of Montevallo Invitational

CALERA, Ala. – Montevallo women's golf leads the Montevallo Invitational with a combined score of 37-over after the first two rounds.
 
The Falcons opened the tournament with an event-low 21-over in round one with a total of eight birdies in the first 18 holes before carding a combined 16-over with 12 birdies to lead the eight-team tournament.
 
Freshman Polly McCrackin leads Montevallo with a combined seven-over through 36 holes with a round one 75 (+4) with a lone birdie on the back nine before adding a three-over 74 with a pair of birdies in round two. Fabiola de Cespedes sits just one stroke behind with a combined eight-over after shooting 76 (+5) in round one and a 73 (+4) in round two with a total of seven birdies on the day. Francesca De Roover is third on the Falcons' squad in T-5th with a score of 10-over after carding scores of five-over across both rounds with a total of three birdies on the day. Juliette Daviau rounds out Montevallo's scores with a T-7th score of 12-over after the first 36 holes with a round one 78 (+7) followed by a round two 76 (+5).
