BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has released its 2025 Women's Tennis All-Conference teams, with Montevallo's
Elena Ondobo garnering second team honors.
Ondobo garners conference recognition after a strong initial collegiate season, as she currently ranks No. 45 in the latest ITA National Singles rankings. Ondobo finished the regular season with an 11-4 mark in singles play, which is the best record on the team. The freshman primarily played at the No. 2 spot, where she went 8-2 on the year.
Ondobo posted a 4-3 doubles record during the regular season, primarily partnering with
London Breedlove to post a 3-2 record. Ondobo went 1-1 with
Latizia Bojara.
Ondobo and the Falcons recently picked up a win in the first round of the GSC Tournament over third-seeded Lee and will face off against No. 2 seed Mississippi College on Friday.
