Box Score

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team saw its 2025 season come to an end on Friday, falling to No. 2 seed Mississippi College in the semifinals of the GSC Tournament, held in Montgomery, Ala.

The Choctaws captured doubles point, picking up wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to secure the early 1-0 advantage. The No. 2 doubles match, featuring Montevallo's Klara Podskubkova and Claire Jaramba, was tightly contested but went unfinished with Mississippi College leading 5-4.

In singles action, Mississippi College continued to push. Emma Roberts defeated Podskubkova 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while Ana Julissa De Mata claimed a 6-3, 6-0 win over Jaramba at No. 3. Despite a strong push from Johanna Kullmann at No. 4—who won her first set in a tiebreak—Mississippi College secured the fourth and deciding point, ending the match and Montevallo's postseason run.

Several matches, including those featuring Elena Ondobo, Greta Vagnini, and London Breedlove, were left unfinished.

The Falcons close the 2025 season with a 9-8 overall record.
