BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its ninth set of weekly awards on Tuesday, as
Emily Mouser was named GSC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.
The Huntsville, Ala., native had her best week of the season, as she averaged 20 points per game while shooting 51.5-percent from the floor. Mouser also averaged four rebounds, 2.5 assists, and two steals, while finishing with a 1.7 assist/turnover ratio.
The freshman was the leading scorer for Montevallo in both games this week, as she recorded 17 points against UAH, followed by a career-high 23 points against West Alabama.
On the season, Mouser now leads the team in scoring (10.8 ppg), assists (44), and steals (16).
Mouser and the Falcons return to action this week with games against Valdosta State (Jan. 15) and West Florida (Jan. 17).
